London Savate Open 2026 – A Day of International Competition and Friendship

We are thrilled to announce that the London Savate Open is just around the corner! On Saturday 4th July, athletes from nine different countries will gather in London to showcase their skills, spirit, and sportsmanship across ages and levels. This promises to be a truly international celebration of Savate.

📍 Event Details

  • Date: Saturday 4th July

  • Venue: Harris Academy Bermondsey, 55 Southwark Park Road, London, SE16 3TZ

  • Spectators: £10 entry on the door.

✅ Athlete Verification

All athletes must check their name and weight class are listed correctly.

  • Weight classes are defined by the upper limit (e.g., M70 = under 70kg, between 65–70kg).

  • Please confirm or send any corrections as soon as possible.

⚖️ Weigh-in

There will be no weigh-in on the day. Athletes should register in the correct category beforehand. This allows everyone to arrive hydrated, nourished, and ready to perform.

🥊 Competition Format

  • 3 rounds × 1:30 minutes of Assaut on mats.

  • Rules: FISav Savate Assaut sur tapis.

  • Athletes will be paired or placed into pools depending on category.

  • Adjustments may include:

    • Combining male categories over 80kg.

    • Some 65kg females may be asked to pair with heavier opponents.

    • Three juniors (under 18) will be matched with selected adults.

⏰ Schedule

  • 8:00 – Set-up (volunteers welcome)

  • 9:00 – Arrivals

  • 10:00 – First Assaut

  • 17:00–18:00 – Final Assaut

  • 18:00 – Packing down

  • 19:00 – Celebration party at The Gregorian

🚿 Facilities

Athletes and guests will have access to:

  • Showers and changing rooms just across the courtyard.

  • Outdoor tables and shaded areas for relaxation between bouts.
